Alison Krauss
The beginning of the national fame came for bluegrass musician Alison Krauss in 1990 when at just 19, she took home at her first Grammy Awards with the trophy for Best Bluegrass Album. It was a feat of awe, not just because Krauss was young, but also because I've Got That Old Feeling was the third album in her collection. Too Late to Cry was her debut album that was released when her Champaign Illinois resident's age of sixteen. Krauss had signed with Rounder Records, one of the most prestigious folk labels when she was just fourteen. Her accomplishments even at such a young age, as well as her skill, has been consistently supported by the fact that she has remained faithful to bluegrass - one of the oldest as well as least-appreciated genres of music. Krauss is now an experienced musician and producer, having gained experience from her time as a teenager phenom.
