Suzanne Pleshette

SuzanneSuzanne Pleshette, born January 31, 1937, died January 19, 2008. She was an American film, television and voice actress. Pleshette began her stage career, and appeared in films in the 1950s and later. Later, she appeared in a number of notable films, including Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963), or Spirited Away (192001). From 1972 to 1978 Pleshette appeared regularly on various television productions. She also played Emily Hartley, which earned her several Emmy Award nominations. Pleshette was born on January 31, 1937, in the New York City neighborhood of Brooklyn Heights, to Geraldine (nee Kaplan)[1] and Eugene Pleshette. The parents of the couple were Jewish immigrants from Russia and Austria-Hungary. Her mother was a dancer, artist and choreographer, who appeared on stage under the name Geraldine Rivers. Her father was a stage manager at both the Paramount Theater and the Paramount Theater in Manhattan.
