Alisyn Camerota
Alisyn Camerota - journalist, author, CNN's "New Day" morning program, Westport resident and Westport Country Playhouse trustee - has been elected. Over the course of her 30 years in journalism, Camerota has covered stories worldwide and nationally, earning her an Emmy Award for her breaking news coverage of the arrest of Roger Stone, and the prestigious Edward R. Murrow Award for her news breaking report on Hurricane Maria's effects upon Puerto Rico. Johnna G. Torsone, from Stamford has been named an honorary trustee for her service as the board's chair since 2007. Anna Czekaj Farber of Westport appointed board chair after her tenure on the board since 2013. Czekaj Farber replaces Barbara Streicker, a Westport resident who has served as acting chairperson since the end of October 2015. The board chair continues to serve on the board, which began in 2006. Board of trustees members include 26 individuals.
